So I’m guessing this is like an automatic flight or fight reaction taken to extreme when his life is seriously endangered. Could prove quite handy if he could control it. I know if I had similar, I’d really work at getting it under control. Easier said than done if it’s strictly your body’s reaction.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head, Jude! It is a survival instinct for situations of serious danger (like you said) which is more likely to be triggered when Vex has no way to escape – they don’t have much control in that state, sort of like the “flipped brain” / Prefrontal Cortex Dysregulation that humans can also experience (but notched up to the extreme).
